Portraits Friendly Reminders & City of Pembroke Pines Codes

 Portraits Documents, and Pembroke Pines City Codes  state that the cans may be placed out at 6:00 p.m. the day preceding the regularly scheduled day of collection  and shall not be permitted to remain past 10:00 p.m. on the collection date, providing, further, that the customer/property owner shall ensure that all containers are stored and kept in a clean  condition and inside a structure, or in the back yard, or at least ten feet behind the building line, whenever possible and practicable, in the  side yard or screened from view from the street and adjacent properties except during collection.  

Per the City of Pembroke Pines Website: Going forward all garbage must be placed within the Green Can.  Bags left beside the cans will not be collected.  

BULK TRASH is 2nd and 4th Friday of every month.  DO NOT put out prior to Bulk Trash day. 

Per Portraits Documents and Broward County Law,  

It is against the law for any person to permit their dog to be at large. This means that the dog must be under the direct, physical control of a person by means of one of the following:

• Leash
• Cord
• Chain
• Confined to the property of its owner by means of a fence

It is against the law to tie, chain or tether a dog so that it has access to public property or the property of another person.

PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG AND UTILIZE THE DOGGY BAGS PROVIDED

We have several feral cats in Portraits.  Per Broward County there is no leash law for cats because they are considered free-roaming animals. However, a property owner does have the legal right to humanely trap or catch any nuisance cats on their property.

 Be courteous and please do not block mailboxes.  The Post Office mail person does not get out of their truck to deliver mail.
